We know it is hard to pick the right photographer. With this in mind, please check out some of the most popular questions below.
Q: Why can't I photograph my own event?
A: We all know that you can't be in two places at once. It can be stressful to plan an event, while also trying to capture all the right moments...It's also important to hire a photographer who has years of experience and the best and backup equipment.
Q: Do you have any special locations for shooting family portraits in the Culver City/Santa Monica area or the Los Angeles, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Tempe, Arizona?
A: There are many hidden gems for family portraits all over the Los Angeles and Orange County, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Tempe areas. I have my favorites, but am always excited to find new locations that work for all types of shoots! Some of my favorite locations are Manhattan Beach Pier, Huntington Beach Pier, Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica Pier, California. In the Maricopa Valley I have discovered Papago Park, DC Ranch, Cave Creek, Downtown Phoenix, Old Town to name a few. Before we photograph the family in Southern California, Orange County or Phoenix, we discuss the style of clothing, as this helps determine the location.
Q: Is there specific clothing that we should bring for our portraits or head shots?
A: Yes it is important not to be too trendy in what type of clothing you choose, as that would date the photograph. You should stay away from stripes or plaid or anything that looks busy. Black is OK, but try to stay away from white unless its the right look for a specific shoot. Finally, try to wear clothing that doesn't add weight to your body type. Even if you're skinny, heavy bulky sweaters could make you look large. If you want to hide some weight, darker colors works best for that and it always looks best if you can wear long sleeves if you have heavy arms or light skin, this allows the eye to focus on your face which makes for a better portrait.
Q: Do we need to bring anything to the individual sports photography sessions in the W. Los Angeles/Culver City, Santa Monica, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Tempe, AZ?
A: First off, sports photography is one of my favorite types of photography to shoot! Depending on the type of sport, you should bring all the equipment that you would like to have included in your special shot!
